About the Boulevard Theater
Boulevardteatern runs nationally touring theater activities, theater courses and colloquiums as well as a post-secondary acting education in Stockholm, where they also have their headquarters. Every summer, the theater moves its operations to Gangvidefarm, Gotland where they give performances and courses for a few weeks.
The Boulevard Theater makes mime-based theater where movement, text and music are mixed. Here is the humor, the music, the joy of storytelling and the physical design. Artistic director since 2007 is Roger Westberg.
The Boulevard Theater plays about 400 performances a year on tour around Sweden from Smygehuk in the south to Kiruna in the north, from Strömstad in the west to Haparanda in the east.
The theater has been run since 2006 by Roger Westberg and Yvonne Granath.
Theater summer camp for children and youth
Theater summer camp for children and youth (7–15 years old), 5 days
Course periods:
Week 29: Dates July 14-18 at 9:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Week 30: Dates July 21-25 at 9:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
The group is divided on site if necessary.
During the course we work with various theatre exercises where play and games are in focus. Participants get to develop their imagination and practice acting and telling stories together with others. The course ends with a performance for family and friends.

We work with our imagination. Together we dramatize and act out stories based on fairy tales and stories. In playful ways, we promote children's creativity, imagination and ability to cooperate.

Don't miss the opportunity to take the popular theater course for adults with Boulevard Theater's artistic director Roger Westberg for a few days on Gotland.
We go through the basics of theater: spontaneity, status and storytelling. We enter the world of improvisation and practice creativity, collaboration and storytelling. We practice presence, acceptance and interaction. With and without text. Pleasure, play and imagination. To dare to make mistakes, become more spontaneous, accept suggestions and practice listening. Come as you are! No previous experience of theater is required, but if you have it, you are equally welcome.
